So to say in 2021 that Flash as security threat is just laughable as only 10% of websites use it. - You say that uniformize, standardize technologies is better than add-ins etc... I regret to say it's not true since if a kind of communist system using one tech, one brand or one seomthing else is very dangerous, first against freedom of choice, democracy and creativity, but also one successful attack can put the entire internet down which is not desirable. Most of us are not sad about Flash EOL, but sad about many years of work, millions games and applications without to find a good Adobe Flash to HTML5/JS converter to make things easier for everybody and avoid business and developer bankruptcy. I feel that too, but the thing I still don't catch is why they don't release every software managing  code  in open source so companies, game developers and hobbyist would be happy to take the relay and not trash years of hard work. And btw Adobe would have a much better image from the open source community which is now leader of web and system coding. Also as Wasm is becoming the binary standard for web and desktop, I can't imagine that Adobe won't adapt all its software to compile to this format. ... View more

since 3 years I relay an help any Flash alternatives. I won't be so unhappy if Adobe just offered/sell a transpiler or any kind of software helping codes or SWF to be converted in standard format, but it's not the case. only open source are working hard to avoid the disaster, like apache royale, ruffle, waflash and chearpX ... There would be no problem to say goodbye to Flash as long as Adobe offers a Actionscript to Javascript transpiler (at least) and not force people to reprogam 20 years of code.
